The Rodeo Ends at 9.
The Party Doesn’t.
Everything you need for the 2026 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, plus where to go once the last bull’s out of the arena.
Fifty-nine days. That’s it. On December 3 the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo kicks off ten straight nights at the Thomas & Mack Center, and Las Vegas turns into the biggest cowboy town on the planet until the final buckle gets handed out on December 12.
If you’ve been here for an NFR before, you know. The Strip smells like leather and bourbon. Every casino lounge grows a dance floor overnight. You’ll see a guy in a $3,000 hat playing penny slots at 2 AM. It’s the best ten days of the year and we’ll fight anybody who says otherwise.
If this is your first one? Buckle up.
This One’s a Big Deal
The rodeo’s locked in here through 2035 under a contract worth more than $264 million to the cowboys, cowgirls and stock contractors, and the purse goes up again this year.
Tickets? Good luck. New this year, AXS runs both the primary tickets and the official fan-to-fan resale, so that’s where you go. Not Craigslist. Not your cousin’s buddy’s Venmo.
Who to Watch
The top 15 in the world in every event qualify: bareback, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding. Here’s what we’ve been watching all summer.
The Rookies Are Coming
Noah Lee didn’t turn pro until February and hit No. 1 in the world by July. Twenty-year-old Hudson Bolton crossed $200,000. A first-year kid could walk out with a gold buckle.
A $250 Race
Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira retook the world lead in late August by less than $250. Eight months of hauling and it comes down to Vegas.
Champs Defending
Three-time champ Riley Webb owned the Cowboy Christmas run. Keenan Hayes is back after becoming the first rookie ever to win a bareback world title.
Waitley Sharon
A 21-year-old rookie from Ordway, Colorado, who climbed inside the top 15 in August with $134,000 won.
Check the final PRCA standings before you go so you know who you’re cheering for.
Getting to the Mack
Rodeo starts at 5:45 PM nightly, and the final round on December 12 is Wrangler National Patriot Night, which is always a tearjerker. Don’t miss it if you can swing a ticket.
Get there early. The ProRodeo Zone and NFR Fan Zone outside the arena have sponsor tents, live music and food before the gates open. Inside it’s clear bags only and metal detectors at every door, so leave the big purse at the hotel.
And please don’t try to walk from the Strip. It’s not close and it’s not safe. The free NFR Express shuttle runs from 23 sponsor hotels and Cowboy Christmas, heading out around 4 PM and coming back after the rodeo. A cab from the airport runs about $22. Can’t get in? The Cowboy Channel airs every round live, which is exactly why every bar in town turns into a watch party.
Every viewing party, after party, lineup, cover charge and age limit in one spot.
See the Full After Party ListThe After Parties
Real talk, half the people in town for NFR never set foot in the Thomas & Mack. The parties are the main event. Most casinos run viewing parties starting around 5 PM, then flip into full country concerts the minute the rodeo ends. And almost all of it’s free.
NFR After Dark
The classic. Viewing parties in the International Bar and Cabaret Theater, then live music until 2 AM. The iBar lineup’s stacked with Texas and red dirt acts like Seth Ward and the Silence, Dirty Bourbon Band and Jon Wolfe.
Buckle Presentations
Where the real rodeo crowd ends up. Flint Rasmussen and Joe Beaver hand out the go-round buckles, then free shows: Aaron Watson (Dec 3–6), Chancey Williams (Dec 7–9), Presley Barker (Dec 10–12).
Gold Buckle Zone
Watch parties, cowboy karaoke, line dancing and giveaways from 4 PM to 3 AM. All ages before 10, so bring the kids early and send them to bed.
Veil Pavilion
Viewing parties with free concerts after: Ned LeDoux Dec 3–4 and Josh Ward Dec 10–11. Plus nightly country at Mermaid Lounge.
Rio Round-Up
Matt Merritt hosts at the Rio Event Stage, live bands until midnight, then the VooDoo Lounge after-party up top for the 21+ crowd.
Palms Casino Resort
Viewing parties, Ghostbar rooftop Wed–Sat from 10 PM, and autograph sessions with four-time world champ Tuf Cooper. Free parking in this town is basically a miracle.
Gilley’s Saloon
Doors at noon, viewing party at 5. Free before 9 PM, $20 cover after. Gilley’s during NFR is exactly what you think it is.
The Orleans
Two shots at it. The Ultimate NFR Watch Party opens at 4:15 PM, then Orleans After Dark picks up at 8:30 with live music, dancing and giveaways.
Fremont After Dark
The Downtown Golden Saloon at the Golden Gate opens at 5 PM, and Rooftop Rodeo at Circa’s Legacy Club runs 9 PM to close with live country Thursday through Saturday. Rooftop, cowboy hats, Fremont lit up below you. And don’t skip the Downtown Hoedown, traditionally the night before round one, with free country acts on the street and thousands of people in boots.

From People Who’ve Done This Too Many Times

Pace yourself. It’s ten nights. The folks who go hard on night one are asleep by night four.
Eat before the rodeo. Concession lines at the Mack are long and you’ll miss a go-round standing in one.
Break in those boots before December. Your feet will thank you.
See you at the Mack.
