Bullfighters Only World Championship

The Bullfighters Only World Championship returns to Las Vegas in December 2026, bringing the top freestyle bullfighters in the sport together for one of the wildest events of NFR week.
Unlike traditional bull riding, the bullfighter isn’t trying to stay on the bull. He’s on the ground, going head-to-head with a fighting bull and using speed, athleticism and some seriously questionable self-preservation instincts to rack up points while staying inches away from the horns.
Freestyle bullfighting competitions feature timed bouts in which athletes are judged on style, control and degree of difficulty. The aggression and quickness of the bull also factor into the final score.
Bullfighters Only World Championship in Las Vegas
The BFO World Championship serves as the season-ending championship for Bullfighters Only and traditionally takes place in Las Vegas during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
BFO has expanded significantly in recent years, with competitors coming from the United States and around the world. The 2026 season includes events in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Spain and France, with top athletes working their way toward the World Championship in Las Vegas.
Reigning BFO World Champion Chance Moorman enters the 2026 season after claiming his first world title in Las Vegas in 2025. Other top names competing on the BFO circuit include four-time World Champion Weston Rutkowski, Tyler Mansell, Daniel “Chikitín” Alcalá, Cole Pfister, Cauy Kraut and Robert Renteria.
What to Expect at the BFO World Championship
This isn’t the traditional rodeo bullfighting you see when someone steps in to protect a fallen bull rider.
BFO turns bullfighting itself into the competition.
Bullfighters square off individually against fighting bulls, using fakes, jumps, direction changes and other maneuvers to stay close to the animal while avoiding getting run over or hooked.
The result is one of the fastest and most intense Western sporting events you’ll see anywhere in Las Vegas during NFR week.
