Rock Academy of The Performing Arts Presents Battle of The Bands/Artists

Rock Academy of the Performing Arts (RAPA) is the music conservatory wing of The Delta Academy. RAPA infuses a state-of-the-art music program in the high school that will has a distinct focus on contemporary musical performance and theory for Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, and Drums under the “Rock n Roll” musical genre umbrella. We look to tap into the potential of aspiring vocalists and musicians with the passion to pursue music performance as a career in the musical genre they choose such as Rock, Hip Hop, Pop, Country, Jazz, DJ/EDM and more.
RAPA Battle of the Bands/Artists aims to support emerging and developing high school musicians
in Las Vegas and encourage appreciation for the art of music in our community.
This Battle of the Bands/Artists will feature acts from various contemporary music genres, from Rock to Rap, Pop to Latin. At least one student from the band will be a Las Vegas high school student and all solo artists will be a high school student in Las Vegas.
The 1st place winner will take home $250 and bragging rights. Second place wins $50. Winners will be decided by the judges. Plus, crowd enthusiasm and excitement is a factor in jury decisions.
