When Law Firms Become the Defendant: Wage and Hour Risks in Legal Practice

This Clark County Bar Association CLE event examines the often-overlooked area of employment law compliance within law firms themselves. The program explores how wage and hour laws—overtime requirements, meal and rest break rules, exempt vs. non-exempt classification, and pay practices—apply to the attorneys, paralegals, and staff who work at legal practices. Presented by experienced employment law attorneys, this session helps law firm administrators, managing partners, and HR professionals understand their exposure and implement policies that reduce litigation risk.
