Flamingos in the Desert? That’s right!
If you’re a bird lover, or if you’re traveling to Las Vegas with children, The Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino is one of the top Free attractions in the city. Located just steps away from the iconic outdoor LINQ district, The Flamingo Wildlife Habitat is a great place to spend a little time away from the crowds and the chaos of the Casino floor.
The Flamingo’s 15-acre outdoor Wildlife Habitat is home to a wide variety of wildlife including exotic Ring Tealed ducks, brown pelicans, swans, and a number of different birds. Guests can also find gigantic koi fish, turtles, and Albino Channel Catfish; and of course, a flock of bright pink Chilean Flamingos.
Filled with trees, islands, sparkling waterfalls, lush foliage, and over 100 different species of birds, turtles, and fish, the Wildlife Habitat is an oasis in the desert.
The outdoor sanctuary is especially popular with photographers and gives even amateurs plenty of opportunities to snap that perfect shot. You’ll often see couples who just got married strolling through the habitat, looking for that perfect spot to memorialize their special day.
