2025 SHOT Show: A Record-Breaking Year for Las Vegas and the Firearms Industry

SHOT Show

The 2025 SHOT Show®, held from January 21 to January 24 at The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, proved to be another massive success. The event, hosted by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF®), is the world’s largest trade show for the shooting, hunting, and outdoor industries. This year, the show attracted over 54,000 professionals from around the globe, with more than 2,850 exhibitors showcasing the latest in firearms, ammunition, hunting gear, and outdoor equipment.

Economic Impact on Las Vegas

The SHOT Show is a significant economic driver for Las Vegas. In addition to drawing tens of thousands of industry professionals, the event generates millions of dollars in non-gaming revenue, typically contributing over $88 million to the local economy. This influx of business helps fuel the hospitality, transportation, and service industries in the area, supporting thousands of jobs. The 2025 edition spanned over 830,000 square feet of exhibition space across both venues, making it the largest event held at The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum. The show even boasts an impressive 14.1 miles of aisles, nearly half the distance of a marathon!

Highlighting Industry Innovation

Each year, SHOT Show serves as the platform for new product launches and cutting-edge innovations. From firearm accessories to the latest in law enforcement gear, the event showcases the future of the industry. One major highlight this year was the expanded Supplier Showcase, where more than 600 suppliers met with manufacturers to discuss materials, machinery, and logistics. Additionally, the SHOT Show introduced the eXtra Pavilion, dedicated to emerging trends and new companies breaking into the market.

SHOT Show is more than just a trade show; it’s a community event that brings together manufacturers, retailers, and media from across the world. Attendees often describe the event as a family reunion, with established partnerships and new connections forming each year.

Expanding Industry Outreach

SHOT Week, which includes events like the NSSF/HAVA Golf Classic and Industry Day at the Range, is a key part of the show’s success. This year’s Industry Day saw over 135 exhibitors and more than 2,350 media and buyers, providing them with an exclusive opportunity to test and preview new products before the show officially kicked off.

The SHOT Show is also committed to supporting industry safety and education. Initiatives such as Project ChildSafe® and the Gun Storage Check Week are promoted during the event, reinforcing the importance of responsible firearm ownership and safe storage.

Supporting Legislation and Advocacy

In addition to showcasing products, the SHOT Show serves as a platform for important discussions on policy and industry challenges. This year, the 4th Annual Governors’ Forum brought together state leaders to discuss strategies to support the firearms industry and the economic impact it has in their states. Moreover, the Attorneys General Forum allowed for productive dialogue on regulatory issues affecting the sector.

A Bright Future In Las Vegas

The 2025 SHOT Show not only highlighted the innovations of today but also set the stage for the future of the industry. NSSF President and CEO Joe Bartozzi emphasized the show’s role in ensuring the continued growth and safety of the firearms community. As the show wraps up for another year, plans are already underway for the 2026 edition, which will once again take place in Las Vegas.

The SHOT Show continues to prove that it’s more than just a place for business; it’s a celebration of the passion, innovation, and dedication that drive the shooting, hunting, and outdoor industries forward.
