In the latest round of tyrannical bullshit to hit our city’s workers, the Venetian Resorts is putting their security teams in a horrific position, making them choose between keeping their jobs and feeding their families or being terminated should they refuse the COVID vaccination.
Earlier this week, a memo went out to the Security team at the Venetian from Jerry Markling, Vice President of Security at Venetian Resorts. The memo threatened that effective immediately the Venetian Resorts security department had enacted a mandatory vaccination policy, “requiring COVID-19 vaccination for security department team members”.
The memo, which had been forwarded to us by multiple people within the Venetian, warned that failure to provide documentation showing the employee was fully vaccinated by November 15th would “result in termination of employment”.
Back in July, George Markantonis, President and Chief Operating Officer of The Venetian & Palazzo threatened workers in leaked internal video that if they didn’t take the vaccine, he would make it a condition of employment! It seems he is making good on his promise.
