Last year the greedy bastards at MGM set off a trend here in Las Vegas, extorting customers to park on the strip. But apparently pissing off locals and lifelong customers wasn’t enough for these geniuses, so the morons in management at MGM have decided to stick it to us even harder and have announced a parking rate hike that will take effect on April 12.
Here are the latest extortion rates to park at MGM properties:
- Excalibur, Luxor and Monte Carlo resorts:
- $5 self-parking changes from one-to-four hours to one-to-two hours.
- The Updated self-parking charge for two-to-four hours is $8.
- Four-to-24-hour self-parking rates go from $8 to $10; daily parking rate is $10 a day.
- Valet parking rates are being raised from $8 to $10 for the first four hours, and from $13 to $15 between four and 24 hours.

They no longer care about making you feel like you matter!
But it doesn’t stop there; ARIA and Bellagio just quietly raised their resort fees to $39 a night, and pretty soon everyone will be screwed when we are taxed out the ass for the new Raiders stadium — a stadium we get to pay for with our tax dollars, and then get the privilege of being charged an arm and a leg to park at a Stadium WE HELPED PAY FOR.
So the Casino executives refuse to do anything about the homeless problem on the strip, the thousands of criminals who now basically own the sidewalks in front of these casinos, the people who assault you while walking the bridges from casino to casino, but they sure can figure out ways to stick it to loyal customers!
Do these morons know how to run a business? FIX the damn problems on the strip, start making visitors feel safe again, and stop nickel-and-diming us for everything.
No wonder gambling revenue is down on the strip! Who the hell want’s to stick money in a slot after being assaulted by bums and then charged $20 just to enter the building?
