On August 9th, the new Caesars Forum Convention Center will host a the HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition that will ban all unvaccinated people from the convention center including attendees, staff and exhibitors. In order to gain entry, EVERYONE will be required to show a Vaccine Passport from either Clear Health or Safe Expo – those that have not signed up for the vaccine passport and want to gain entry will have to bring proof of double vaccination and sign up for the Safe Expo vaccine passport on-site.
The HIMMS website proudly announced “ HIMSS21 is a COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIRED event for all attendees, exhibitors and HIMSS staff.” But we are being told it’s beyond just HIMSS Staff.
Outside vendors are being told they can not do business or be on the show floor if they do not have a vaccination passport or proof of vaccine. Even booth assistants, crowd gathers, and local contract employees that work in the tradeshow industry have been told they will not be able to work without a vaccine card!
This comes as a number of casinos are pushing a new round of internal mask mandates. Earlier in the week, MGM Mirage informed convention staff that even vaccinated workers would be required to wear masks for the upcomming Siemens’ business convention at the Mirage.
