Today, Sisolak’s plan to enact a new series of COVID mandates in Las Vegas just went into overdrive as he used his henchmen on the Gaming Control Board to threaten bar owners and smaller casinos that they will face disciplinary action and possibly lose their gaming license if they don’t follow the Clark County employee mask mandate, forcing even vaccinated workers to again strap on the compliance facemasks.
While the memo went out to “all casinos”, it is smaller bars and independent local casinos that are facing the brunt of the threats. MGM, Caesars, and Sands all signed on to Sisolak’s behind the scenes deal weeks ago, to force these COVID mandates back on the public.
We believe MGM Resorts and a number of casino insiders are using the mandates to bankrupt their smaller competitors who were already struggling after 15 months of mandates. In fact, if you look at who benefited from the first round of lockdowns and shutdowns, it was MGM and Sisolak cronies like Jim Murren and Andrew Pascal who made millions in bankrupting their competitors.
