The Rocky Mountain Federation Mineralogical Society’s annual conference and rock show will be held in Nevada this year. “Viva Las Vegas Rocks” will be hosted by the Southern Nevada Gem & Mineral Society on June 17-19, 2022, at The Orleans Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV. Open to the public, entry is only $5 adults and kids under 12 Free!
The “Viva Las Vegas Rocks” show promises to be a fun family event offering spectacular rocks, minerals, and education. At the Kids Booth, children will enjoy activities offering an assortment of ‘rocky’ prizes. Nearby will be many unique displays of gems, minerals, fossils, and Nevada turquoise. Demonstrations throughout the show will give visitors up-close looks at artists pursuing their skills, including wire wrapping, jewelry making, beading, and other arts and crafts made from rocks. There will be many booths offering rocks, beads, gemstones, crystals, minerals, decorator pieces, and jewelry for sale. Festivities include hourly silent auctions and fabulous door prizes. It’s a show the whole family can enjoy!
